Google to Invest $15 Billion in India for AI Hub in Visakhapatnam

Google said it will invest $15 billion in India over five years to build its first artificial intelligence hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The project, set for 2026 to 2030, includes a gigawatt-scale data center campus, new clean energy facilities, and a subsea cable landing to improve international connectivity.

Google said it will work with AdaniConnex and Airtel to develop the infrastructure, which will expand India’s data capacity and reduce network latency.

The investment marks Google’s largest in India to date and is intended to meet the country’s growing demand for AI and cloud computing services.
